How do I Become Born Again?
Prayer for Salvation
Jesus, I am a sinner. I REPENT, and I ask You to forgive me of all my sin. I BELIEVE that You are the Son of God, and that You shed Your blood so I might be forgiven. I believe You rose from the dead.
Jesus, I CONFESS You as my Lord and Savior. I will live for You as you show me how. Amen.
Now that you are born again/saved
Jesus commands you to be born again, water baptized, be filled with the Holy Spirit and speak in tongues, and be discipled. You need all these four benefits according to Acts 2:38-47.
- Every human being ever born, except Jesus Christ, has sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Rom. 3:23).
- The wages of sin is death (Rom. 6:23a).
- You cannot escape the wrath of God if you neglect so great salvation (Heb. 2:3).
Jesus Christ died to bring you back to God
- "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life" (John 3:16).
- "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us" (Rom. 5:8).
How do I Become Born Again?
- Repent: To repent is to quit your war with God; to cease from sinning; to put off your old self; to renew your mind. You need to turn from your life-style of sin and separation from God.
What do I turn to? You turn to faith in Jesus Christ. - Believe: You must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He shed His blood and died for you, and that He rose again from the dead and is alive today. "For with the heart one believes unto righteousness.........For the Scripture says, “Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame....whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” (Rom. 10: 10, 11, 13).
- Confess: You must confess that Jesus is Lord and Savior.
"...and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation" (Rom. 10:10).

- Repent and Believe
- Water Baptism
- Holy Ghost Baptism.
- Continue in the teachings of Christ: (apostles doctrine), fellowship, breaking of bread, prayers, praise and worship and evangelism, etc.
It is important that you (the new believer) join a Bible believing Church- a Church that believes in the totality of Scripture. This is where you begin to learn the word of God. Commit yourself to consistently practice the following spiritual disciplines and you will be consumed in His glory: study God's word, walk in faith, pray (both in your understanding and in the spirit), praise and worship God with spiritual songs, fast, take communion daily, and lead a holy life.
